CREEDS & CONFESSIONS
We recognise and value the historial Creeds and Confessions of the faith, including the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Definition of Chalcedon.
We recognise the Westminster Confession of Faith (1647) , the American revision of the Westminster Confession of Faith (1788), The London Baptist Confession (1689), and The 39 Articles (1571). We major on the overlaps, insisting that scripture should interperet scripture, and that we should not go beyond scripture on what we require of a Christian brother or sister.
We are willing to consider and include other confessions from the Reformed tradition that are consistent with these confessions, such as:
Belgic Confession (1561)
Heidelberg Catechism (1563)
Canons of Dort(1619)
The Savoy Declaration(1658)
Second Helvetic Confession (1566)
The Reformed Evangelical Confession
